This is absolutely the best season of The Clone Wars!! I'm really glad that they were able to address what fans wanted, and I genuinely felt like each arc had its place in the season. I'm so sad to see this show finally go, but I'm so happy that the ending was so amazing. This is the finale that the show deserves.
It's hard to rate this season. The first 8 episodes weren't great. 5 - 8 were especially lackluster. But the final 4 were fantastic. With the final 3 being perhaps the best that the show has to offer. Going by the final episodes alone, this would be a solid 9. But having to factor in the rest of the season... I think I'm being generous when I give it a 7.
Absolutely delivers what the fans wanted! This last season was what we fans wanted! Loved the show from first episode and they ended it the best way possible.
The final arc carries the season so much. The animation is fluid and amazing and it is genuinely tense and emotional. It is probably the best way this show could have ended. That being said, the first two arcs don't really match the final arc's quality. The Bad Batch arc has some good moments but it's an episode too long and does feel like it's just trying to set up the characters in the spin-off show. I think Ahsoka's walkabout is fine as an idea but it is just way too long and doesn't really tie into anything else in this season or Star Wars in general until the ending. That's usually not a problem in this show but being the last season, I felt there should have been more cohesion between the arcs and cutting down some of the existing arcs might allow for some of the lost arcs and stories from the original Season 6 and 7 to get some spotlight. But overall, the ending makes up for what would have been an underwhelming season.
