See crime stories where solutions are solved through dreams that are different, absurd and fun and sometimes have great gimmick ideas. See Patricia Arquette never change her face expression and getting an Emmy Award for it. See one of the worst series endings I have ever seen that ruin an entertaining show and the love that I had for the series. Skip that one and watch the other shows and you will be happy.

This show had the best finale I have ever seen!

The series has a really enjoyable dynamic — I had a great time across many episodes. The crime investigations are often intriguing, and the personal lives of the characters create a sense of familiarity, as if we're watching our own day-to-day lives unfold on screen. However, some episodes and investigations border on the completely absurd, almost insulting the viewer's intelligence. There are countless inconsistencies — rules that change or only seem to apply when it's convenient for the plot. The acting is a significant weak point; the entire cast delivers underwhelming performances across the board. What disappointed me the most, though, was the lack of buildup toward the finale. I didn't dislike the ending itself, but the series unfolds at a normal pace all the way through the penultimate episode, and then the "finale" is crammed into a single episode — with no proper character development leading up to it. We had multiple cases that spanned two or three episodes, yet the conclusion was given only one, and even then, a good portion of it is dedicated to some random case. After following these characters for so long, I wanted to see a proper resolution for each of them — and that was denied to me.

Pretty decent, 'crime of the week' show with an interesting concept that I'm surprised hasn't been done more. The majority of the episodes are good and well written, but like all of these kinds of shows there's poorly written filler but not enough to spoil it. The acting sucks across the board, however, especially Jake Weber playing the husband, he's a total pansy douche with a terrible accent, and about three brain cells, the kids are terrible but thankfully not the main focal point in the majority of episodes however the youngest then middle kid is pretty funny at times. Apart from Miguel Sandoval, and some of David Cubitts scenes only the guest stars and extras show any talent on screen. Even Patricia Arquette (of whom I'm a huge fan) basically floats through the entire show with a look on her face like she thinks she just smelt a fart.

It's darker than 'Ghost Whisperer', which is good, but the really dark episodes are far too infrequent. There's also quite a few really stoopid ones.
