I really think this series captures a very specific, dark atmosphere that feels quite heavy and dramatic. The cinematography uses the rainy setting to mirror the desperate situation of the main character, who is forced into a difficult living arrangement with his wealthy cousin. I found the focus on the destructive power struggle between them to be very captivating, even if the family connection and the clear power imbalance make some scenes feel a bit problematic. It’s a bold choice that makes the story stand out. The chemistry between Ji Sung and Ri U is raw and intense, which fits the moody tone of the show perfectly. Their connection felt natural to me, even within such a toxic and obsessive environment. I liked how the tension was maintained because the plot stays so focused on their complicated relationship. Because there isn't much room for other characters, the series feels quite intimate and claustrophobic. It explores moral gray areas in a way that I found both provocative and authentic. It’s definitely not a light watch, but that’s exactly why it works so well.
