Started out quite promising and then midway completely fell apart. I do find it funny and very annoying that everybody is hyping up the old man but he's actually really not special at all in any way, he just has a big fan club of former little girls who have a sense of nostalgia towards him... It's Pathetic. Sorry for going too hard on this but I'm getting tired of this type of slop.

This series had so much potential to me but unfortunately it's one of those anime that plays it safe. No story arcs with any depth or complexity. All the girls love him. Heck all the guys love him too. It's the clueless hero with the charmed life. Nothing really bad ever happens to anyone in his circle. It just feels so...contrived. It's worth watching if you got nothing better to watch but it won't captivate you.

This honestly felt like a really creative person came up with the concept, and sold it to a bunch of executives who fleshed out the week over week plots, and finalization of the story. The MC is affable enough in the beginning, but then when you start to think about how old he is and the fact that he's still playing out the shonen protagonist storyline, it just doesn't make any sense. They also tried to throw a twist into the story that didn't really hit well....the whole story is a mess and extremely forgettable. I rated this a 7 before I started this review, but as I reflect on the vast disappointment that the story was, I'm dropping this down to a 6. ------------------ Rewatch: I feel like I was a bit hard on this after my first watch. Going into it the second time with my expectations a bit lower, I didn't hate the story as much, and wasn't put off by the MC's decisions and path. Back up to a 7.
