The world created is interesting, the supporting characters are engaging, and there are even some fun scenes that make you laugh. But the protagonist is terrible—a goofy, annoying, charmless, selfish guy with no purpose. It doesn’t take many episodes before you start asking yourself, "Why am I watching this?"

A good anime with a simple story, but it manages to be entertaining thanks to the unique protagonist, who makes the situations he finds himself in both comedic and engaging. The other characters contribute in interesting ways to solving the problems, making their interactions enjoyable to watch.

Loving the series.. classic mc who doesn’t think he’s strong (in this case really isn’t) and just wants to retire. Doesn’t understand why he’s the boss.. Good fun. I hope we get more than 24 episodes!

This may be the second funniest anime I've ever watched, coming in just behind Uncle From Another World (Konosuba is mid, don't @ me ;)... Especially when Arnold shows up towards the end, every is episode after his appearance had me literally doubled over in laughter. I didn't realize this anime had 13 episodes in the first season and I binged the first 12 before I realized it, I should have left my review right after I finished the first 12. The MC was chill and the laughs were abundant... This should be called "The Power and Pain of Being a Man of Few Words" . Lots of questions still about the rest of the clan, definitely here for more of this..
