I knew nothing about this anime until I saw a Facebook meme about it, which piqued my interest. And all I did was start the first episode with no expectations. However, following the combat scene, I was astonished. The fact [spoiler] all of the heroes were murdered [/spoiler] within the first few minutes astounded me...and then the trip began. One of my favorite anime this season.

So, let's go... For me, Clevatess is an anime that started well and ended badly. The anime's structure is very conventional, following all the patterns and clichés. In that sense, the entire anime is predictable. In this case, the clichés distanced me from the anime the most. I understand that it's still in the beginning, but only time will tell what will happen. I sincerely hope it invests more in the seinen genre and the craziness of the adventure. The anime's great merit lies in the direction, which manages to make the narrative development interesting. So, do I recommend it? Yes, but don't go in with too many expectations.
