If you hold this to the impossible high standards of "The Office" you may not think this a great show. But for perspective this is definitely better than the first season of "The Office".
* Ned obviously is the wrong casting for the role. Steve should've talked him out of it, or maybe this is exactly what he wanted. * The "old manager new manager" story line is just stupid. The Office was legendary because it's just a happy show. There's no manufactured conflict, no forced drama, just silly people doing silly thing in this silly life.
Superb show. If you like workplace mockumentaries like Office, B99, Parks & Rec you’d love this. I think we’re gonna see this show become huge if given the time and seasons. Highly recommended.
As Michael Scott would say, “I declare this show… awesome!” 😄 At first, I thought it’d be a mess, but after watching the first season of The Paper, it was such a ride! The characters are great, it’s funny, and I really enjoyed it. The season kicked off strong, had a few episodes that were actually hilarious, but overall I loved it. Solid 9/10 from me!
So far, this is. Not. Good. Hoping it picks up... Edit; It's OK. Still not amazing. The Esmerelda character is just bizarre. I get the actress wanted to break out into US tv after The White Lotus, but there's absolutely no reason her character would be working at this failing MiDWest local paper. It's weird. She's also unbearable as a character.
