Ich bin langjähriger Patriots Fan und ich habe bei der Doku sehr gemischte Gefühle. Es ist ganz schön nochmal alle Höhen und Tiefen der Dynastie zu sehen. Das nicht nur über die zahlreichen Siege und Rekorde gesprochen wurde, sondern auch über Spygate, Deflategate und auch die Thematik Hernandez. Allerdings wird Coach Belichick in dieser Doku als das größte Problem dargestellt und das glaube ich nicht. Ich glaube schon das er ein schwieriger Mensch ist aber nicht so kaltherzig und berechnend wie es die Doku einem erzählen will. Viele ehemalige Spieler haben sich diesbezüglich ja auch inzwischen geäußert und üben starke Kritik an den Machern der Doku. Abgesehen davon wirkt Robert Kraft, Owner der Patriots, als wäre er in vielen Dingen Ahnungs- und Machtlos gewesen.

What a phenomenal sports documentary that covers the New England Patriots rise to legendary status through Belichick and Brady. Unlike some sports documentaries on monumental pieces of sports history/teams, this one actually has most all the key people participating in the interview process. Noting more special about how it was made compared to others, but what makes it great is that this is a story that was finally delve into that all sports fans are either appalled by or fascinated by and will keep any of one of them on the edge of their seat.

It's fine as far as these things go but probably could have been a lot better. I was still interested enough to come back for 10 episodes every week, so I think that says a lot. It offers some new perspectives to events I've either seen or known about as a football fan, but a lot of just retelling stuff I already knew, and most football fans will already know. The Patriots were truly a dynasty and the show captures that pretty well.
