When Pip follows new leads on the case, she takes bigger risks and enters the world of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll.

I'm struggling with suspension of disbelief here - The characters just don't act in a believable way at all, everything seems very forced. I may bail...
The changes between the novel and the series in this episode are really... egregious, IMO.
What do you mean, Howie is just hanging around at this party, known to all? What was the point to Andie??? And he's just... going to talk to Pip, no questions? The book was so much better in this regard and made much more sense. And, why are we changing the hiding place to a rabbit?? Like, where is the logic of having Pip STABBING the murdered girl's belongings? You're leaving behind clear evidence you were there, and then you basically get _caught_
I just really don't understand _why_ these changes are good for the plot. Both the party and house scenes had plenty of tension without devolving into this, and now the show is actually robbing us of some tension filled scenes and investigation (such as the car park)! The best part about the book was how we were connecting the dots alongside Pip, and here we're just... skipping all the steps :(
A bit different, but it is a really good adaptation of the book(s).
I gave up here when they weren't even smart enough to figure out the blatantly obvious
what3words
clue. Think I may have inadvertently stumbled across a series aimed at teens/young adults so I'm out as I'm sadly neither of those things anymore 😕
For a small English country town, there are plenty of Strange People! The plot thickens. 🤔
