YRF’s first web series is enthralling, engaging and shattering , buoyed by exceptional screenplay and performances My Rating : ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (86/100) The Railway Men highlights the unwavering spirit and courage shown by the unsung heroes of the railways on the dreadful night of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy. The four episode mini series skillfully merges real pictures and snippets of the tragedy with dramatized visuals. The excellent production design exemplifies YRF was serious with the subject at hand and leaves no stone unturned. The inspiring cast is enough for you to just binge watch it at one go just like I did. The writing of this disaster drama is tight with ample moments of thrill, tension and emotions. The show isnt a masterpiece, but it certainly encapsulates tragic incident in a more mature way. Kay Kay Menon is one fine actor and his versatility speaks louder with each of his performance. R Madhavan is outstanding and his presence itself gives positive vibes. With shades of Irffan Khan his son Babil deserves a special mention. Babil is fantastic considering he being a new comer. Divyendu Sharma is a fine actor and he does complete justice to his role. So refreshing to see the beautiful Juhi Chawla in an extended special appearance. Overall, The Railway Men is definitely worth a watch simply due to its inspiring storyline, fantastic production, marvelous acting performances and gripping screenplay. Instagram & X : @streamgenx

Powerful, respectful, and quietly devastating. It focuses less on spectacle and more on human courage, showing how ordinary people stepped up in an unimaginable disaster. The storytelling is controlled, never exploitative, which makes the impact stronger. R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyenndu, and Babil Khan all deliver strong performances, bringing urgency and emotion without overdoing it. The pacing stays tight, and the tension builds naturally as the tragedy unfolds. It’s not just a series, it’s a tribute done with dignity.

The Railway Men There was 'Chernobyl' and now there is 'The Railway Men'. Surprisingly coming from Yash Raj Films, this mini-series is a triumph from all aspects, thus making it one of the most effective and engaging web series coming from Hindi cinema in the recent past. Based on the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy, on which not even ten programmes or films have been made so far, this web series covers the events along with the people, which led to the tragedy and what things followed. It celebrates the valour of every soul who tried his/her best in order to curb the tragedy. The makers not only beautifully bring out real-life characters on screen, but also smartly place real-life moments (even as dramatic representation) and footage like what we have seen in 'Black Friday' (2005). With every technical department being marvellous, that somewhere looks Hollywood-style, 'The Railway Men' is backed by solid performances, where every performer adds life to his/her role. What's worth noting is that the romantic angle doesn't look out of place. On the contrary, it has been smartly kept crisp and worth adding value to the narration. Do yourself a favour and watch this celebration of the uncredited legends.

A great show. Story well told. Emotions captured brilliantly. Acting is top notch. A 4-episodes treat. Absolutely brilliant.
