I missed _This Life_ when it originally aired but was aware of its success/popularity. Watching it for the first time in 2021 and it's still terrific telly (reunion special, aside, sadly), which says a lot for its quality. The ensemble is just brilliant and they stopped at the right time before outstaying its welcome, leaving the audience wanting more. It's arguably a moment in time that couldn't be replicated today but this seems to work in its favour - or perhaps I just love everything 90s.
