I am stunned at what they could do in only 6 episodes. That kind of number can make or break- and it definitely made. It never ceased to surprise me and I was hooked the entire time!
87%??? Seriously??? The first season is so boring... I hope it gets better later on edit: I gave it another chance and kept watching and it grew on me. It has its ups and downs and it pisses me of sometimes but If you're into zombie movies/shows you're going to like this one. The cast is really good and the characters they bring to life are interesting. That's mainly what's kept me watching the series.
This was actually peak. The first episode is one of the best intros to a show I've ever seen. It's genuinely tense in its atmosphere and although worldbuilding a zombie apocalypse seems easy, this season did it masterfully. I'm already up to season 3 and I have to say that this first season is still its best one; it feels the most focused and presents "fun" scenarios in an apocalypse setting.
This was a pretty strong start to this series, it is wild how much misogyny there is, probably just to be expected from a 2010 show though. But when it does the pure zombie stuff, it really works. Interested to see where it goes from here.
Solid first season. The highs aren't as high as those of the later seasons but with only six episodes there isn't any of the downtime that comes with those seasons either. The first episode in particular is amazing, definitely one of the best pilot episodes of any TV series for sure.
