I watched this remake with zero exepectations and it suprised me, as i watched the original 2 times in full i always missed the diversity there, but this cast is amazing and breaks the number one criticism of the original one. They kept some of the dinamics from the first episode of the original show and it feels like another series but fresh, i really want to see where they are going with this, the first 8 episodes were good and got me interest on the other characters, but the fist episode was execptional, the sense of community it had it made me cry.

Brodie is kind of a prick. Is this really the main character I’m supposed to look up to ? I also don’t really relate or care about any of the other characters. The show has good moments, but kind of a meh feeling all around.

I loved. And I'm very disappointed that the series has been cancelled. I would have liked to see a season 2, it's really a shame. Probably due to Starz Lionsgate+ financial issues

I’m into the third episode and the show is sooooo lackluster. The only Queer as Folk thing is the lesbian couple having kids and the name of the show. I give ZERO f:asterisk_symbol:ck about any of the characters. If Brody is supposed to be the reimagining of Brian Kenney, at least make him a successful medical student. The guy’s is just freaking loser who knows nothing about what he wants in life. I think I’ll just stop watching it.

Less groundbreaking, less provocative and less consistent than the previous versions, it begins with an interesting approach to the trauma after an attack on a gay bar, to abandon it and build the stereotyped portrait of the LGBTQ+ community where there is no space, by the way, for women (the only lesbian relationship explores transsexuality). The worst is when it tries to look like "Atlanta", failing miserably.
