It is the exact kind of sequel that doubles down on romance while barely upgrading anything else. The chemistry is still the main fuel, and the leads deliver that intense, slightly messy connection that the first film traded on. But the story shifts into melodrama faster than it should, the conflicts feel recycled, and the emotional stakes never quite deepen. It’s glossy, steamy, and easy to watch, yet very aware it’s only offering more of the same. A comfortable romance stretch, not a growth moment.
If the first one was cliché, this one is a nearly two-hour summer music video where the plot is noticeably absent. It's supposed to be about the long-distance relationship, but they spend the whole movie angry over silly things and not communicating clearly. It's exhausting to see two people who supposedly love each other treat each other so badly. And then there's the unnecessary drama at the end.
Yoshi's death seems like a cheap resource to give "depth" and drama to a story that didn't know where to go. It feels cruel and gratuitous.
The only good thing is the Costa Brava landscapes, which make you want to go on vacation, but far from these characters.
Imagine missing the chance to save a friend’s life—just because you were too busy. After a year of longing and relying on technology to stay connected, Raquel and Ares finally reunite for a summer vacation on the Catalonian coast. As they soak in the warmth of the Mediterranean sun and the charm of the seaside town, their rekindled passion is soon tested by new temptations and challenges. Raquel’s old insecurities return when she meets Ares’s new friends and colleagues, while Ares finds himself drawn to the attention of an attractive classmate. Against a stunning backdrop of beaches, parties, and romantic adventures, Raquel and Ares must confront their doubts and fears to decide whether their love can survive both distance and the lure of new experiences. The film is romantic and beautiful—this is the second installment in the series, with a third part on the way. Age Rating: Adults Only Film Rating: 6.5/10
