In all fairness, they’re both just a couple of dirty little cheaters, aren’t they?
>"You know the Greeks didn't write obituaries. They only asked one question after a man died: Did he have passion?." I remember really liking this movie. What is there not to like? Two adorable people falling in love and hunting for each other. I have always been warm towards Kate Beckinsale. Now that I am older, I realize that they are doing this while engaged to other people. Not sure how I feel about that haha. Still a cute movie though.
The heartwarming romantic comedy, Serendipity is a fun and enchanting film. The story follows a couple that was separated after a fateful meeting one night in New York, but tries to reconnect years later by following their destinies. The cast is quite good, and includes John Cusack, Kate Beckinsale, Bridget Moynahan, and Jeremy Piven, who all deliver strong performances. However, Cusack and Beckinsale don’t have very good chemistry; which is partially the script’s fault as it does more telling than showing and keeps the couple apart for most of the film. But, the comedy is charming, and there’s a sincerity to the film that helps to overcome some of its weaknesses. Though it has a few issues, Serendipity is delightfully whimsical with an uplifting love story.
ثاني الطف فيلم شفته، خفيف جدًا وخلاني ابتسم كثير وفيه اجواء مميزة.
The premise that the entire universe conspires for two people to meet based on a bill and a book is, frankly, an insult to statistics. I've realized what won me over was John Cusack's chemistry (who by the way, I've noticed always has a face like he's suffering for love, but in a dignified way haha), but the movie is still a pile of script conveniences that border on ridiculous. What bothers me most, now that I think about it with a cool head, is how badly they treat their current partners.
They're there planning weddings while the protagonists are obsessed with an encounter from ten years ago with a stranger. They don't even try to make you dislike them to justify the emotional infidelity, they simply ignore them.
And the shopping mall thing..., hotel (?) I mean,
they separate because fate decides that a kid presses all the elevator buttons.
Even so, I keep the 6 because it leaves you feeling good. It's one of those movies that warm your little heart (you wouldn't say it from my review).
