how this got only 60% i have no idea this is an absolute classic!!
A wildly underrated comedy that deserves much more recognition. At its core, this is a pure slapstick film, and it works thanks to the perfect casting. Chris Rock, still early in his career, adds charm, but the real highlight is Chris Farley at his absolute best. His physical comedy, timing, and sheer energy carry the entire movie. The humor lands — silly, over-the-top, but genuinely funny. Several scenes are not only memorable but have since become iconic, to the point where it’s hard not to think that _Kung Fu Panda_ later borrowed from them. For a film so often dismissed, it delivers real laughs and stands out as one of the better slapstick comedies of its era. The action sequences are surprisingly well staged. The fight choreography is decent, though it’s clear the movie didn’t always have the budget it needed to fully realize its ideas. Still, the creativity and Farley’s commitment make up for it. It’s not a polished blockbuster, but that’s also its charm. Fun, absurd, and carried by Farley’s unforgettable performance, this one holds a special place as a cult comedy gem.
I really think that this kind of humor is not getting better older the jokes is silly and too much superficial however is good afternoon session
I'm all for letting Farley do his thing on set but most of this feels like they just used the first take. The slapstick comedy in this is just horrendous. The jokes are so obvious that they don’t even feel like jokes. Least favorite Farley movie
