Still holds up as such a classic, feel good comedy. Murphy plays the fish-out-of-water story earnestly, rather than the typical, oblivious goofball. It's probably Eddie Murphy's best movie.

Might be my favorite of all Eddie Murphy's movies. Great lines, great idea, "Soul Glo", McDowells, the guys in the barbershop, just great execution altogether. I'm chuckling just thinking about the scenes again.

There were three decent laughs in there. Amusing more than hilarious. Has aged fairly well and enjoyable enough, but just didn't bring as much funny as I remember.
