This is a low-budget, late 1980s semi buddy-cop comedy. Seeing Bubba Smith from Police Academy in a buddy cop role sounded great when I first came across this film. From the synopsis and the first few moments, I had a strong sense of déjà vu—like I’d seen it before or at least something very similar. After logging into my Trakt account, I confirmed that I had indeed watched it once before, about five years ago. I remembered the ending, but most of the rest I had completely forgotten. That alone should tell you everything you need to know: it’s not a very memorable film, so its pretty easy to recommend skipping this one unless you have seen the majority off other films like this set in the same era, I also have to ask why [spoiler] the f*** did they kill the cat.
