[DOK.fest '22] The film falls in its attempt to convey more intimate aspects of the personality of the singer Cesária Évora, scarce in the vision of her past due to the absence of footage and even shallow in recent years in which she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and suffered periods of severe depression. But at least it manages to convey the relevance of the singer as a representative of Cape Verdean culture.
