I gave it a 5 just cause Thomas Jane is a legend

Looked like a cheesy good time but was insufferably boring and try-hard. Didn't finish.

A generous 4 out of 10 for a movie that afterwards I can say was done better by [url=https://trakt.tv/comments/715862]Bloodsucking B***ards (2015)[/url] Thomas Jane is good. Kara Hayward is fine. Abigail Breslin is excellent. I think the acting is fine but the script focused too much on the presentation component and not enough on what kind of story it wanted to tell. It's not a heavy on Vampire Lore movie. It's not a look who was a vampire in the past movie. It's not a whose gonna die next movie. It's not an epic fight with vampires against their deadliest foe the slayers type movie. It has a little of all those but not enough to make it settle one one and be interesting. Shame because any one of those could have made it a better movie if they had sacrificed maybe two of the others to focus on it more. The presentation layer of a video game in particular didn't make sense since we never got a video game fight. At once point someone starts livestreaming the hunt and even then it's not particularly interesting. I think we had three cutaways and it never did anything. It didn't expose Vampires as real. It didn't endanger Flynn as a murderer. It didn't cement her as a great fighter for the world to see which was her original goal.

Slayers (2022) - ❤x2 Unwatchable. At least for me. I hate movies that heavily involve "Influencers" - and the change in volume when music plays is jut an offense to the ears. I only lasted about 10 minutes before I had to bail. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!

There is no way to sugarcoat the review. While this movie has sloppy writing and b-grade production with stock footage. It actually does a PERFECT job of showing how influencers and Gen-Z are or can be naive, narcissistic and clueless. A nice wake-up call to get your act together. Others can just skip the first 29 minutes of the movie.
