Along with "The Rocketeer", this one's also one of the unfortunately widely underrated films. Certainly not a milestone in film history, but a good and entertaining flick to watch with a bag of popcorn.

I always found it weird that he when becomes the Shadow, Alec looks like William Baldwin lol. Such a corny but non-stop entertaining 90’s film. I have loved it since I was like 14. What also made the movie special is that the trailers didn’t give much away. So I was delightfully surprised when I saw it.

Based on the 1930s radio show, the story follows Lamont Cranston, who fights crime as the masked vigilante The Shadow by clouding the minds of men with illusions, but he meets his match when a descendant of Genghis Khan attempts to destroy New York City. Alec Baldwin, Penelope Ann Miller, and Ian McKellen lead the cast, but they don’t seem that comfortable with the material. And the film itself has an inconsistent tone; as the mixture of comedy and action doesn’t really work that well. Yet despite its problems, _The Shadow_ is a unique and interesting superhero film.

The Shadow (1994) - ❤x6 I rewatched this movie recently and still find it lacking. I think the main reason I didn't enjoy is because they re-used the score from Batman (1989). Also, the CGI back then just wasn't quite good enough to handle what they tried to do.
