This movie became more about showcasing so much of unnecessary and unnatural action scenes than about the Pushpa's smuggling business like it had to be. Songs are as smelly as a dog's ball sack. The ending was the worst of them all,
a girl getting kidnapped
(so god damn generic). Only the first half focused on the smuggling business that Pushpa runs. The second half was completely unnecessary. I was so excited for Fahad Faasil's character villain but he was made to look like a fool, such a great actor who's performance could not show through due to the sh!tty character development by the writers of the movie. Srivalli was rebellious in the first instalment and had her own personality but in this movie she just is dying for Pushpa's approval, what a generic move by the writers. This second instalment of Pushpa was never meant to be about the story of his smuggling business like it was in the first instalment, instead it all boils down to who's got the biggest d!ck as a man. Wasted potential. 5/10
Pushpa 2 was a solid 8/10 for me. The storyline was gripping and kept me hooked throughout, definitely a strong sequel. However, the action scenes felt a bit over-the-top at times; toning them down would have made it more grounded. Allu Arjun was absolutely phenomenal, owning every scene he was in!
Very disappointing. The script it felt there is none, only misplaced sequences. First half focused on Shekhawat and suddenly after first half they introduced a new villain and then he also died. The first movie had the 10min sequence of FaFa looking unnecessary and what they did with his character here is just misery for the great actor he is. Also they had that 5 min sequence at the start of the movie, God knows why? The songs, the lyrics, the moves were disgusting, don't know why they went that way. The pre interval scene is the best movie gives, the post interval scene is good but don't feels the script the best. There's always a great Villain opposite to your hero in every big story but there's ain't. There is no one that can create any danger or problems for Pushpa. First movie they did good and it has a good impact on culture but this is irrelevant. Although movie gives you moments to chear, Allu Arjun was great, he gave it his all but the movie as an overall just did not took any shape.
I felt this more to be a family drama than the core smuggling syndicate drama that the part 1 focused on.. which was a bit disappointing. Action sequences are over the top and sometimes unbearable to watch. If you skip part 2 and directly watch the upcoming part 3, I think you won’t really miss anything relating to the storyline.
Was decent but didn’t need to be almost 4 hours long. Could have removed the songs too.
