Beautiful depiction of a very specific time and place. While the filmmaking leaves a bit to be desired, there's a rawness here that remains compelling throughout. I particularly loved the documentary-like voiceovers that reflect and reflect on the action on the screen--something about those voices I found haunting and mesmerizing.
