The fourth Crossword Mysteries film, _Terminal Descent_ is an engaging Hallmark murder mystery. While working with a tech company to compete against their supercomputer in a crossword puzzle challenge, Tess Harper becomes a witness to the CEO’s murder and helps her friend Det. O’Conner to solve the case. The film does a nice job of discussing the power and danger of AI (which is quite topical) without getting too technical or paranoid. However, the clues can be a little hard to follow at times; but there are still several exciting twists and turns. Also, the Tess/Logan relationship takes a few steps forward. Another solid entry in the series (despite a few flaws), _Crossword Mysteries: Terminal Descent_ is an entertaining and thought-provoking film.
