Wow that went from sweet to [spoiler]rapey very quickly![/spoiler]

I felt for newscaster Kei cuz maintaining a sweet facade can be exhausting, and we all should embrace our disgruntled peevish sides and have somebody you can tell to shut up safely. As a short movie it built an arc efficiently and still had key moments of both vulnerability and shining honesty. Slice of life conversation, coworking and shared tastes in food built this relationship, and I loved that ordinary domestic dynamic. It gets a bit dub con by the very end, which I feel works better on the page but feels uncomfortable animated IMHO but it didn't ruin the film for me. Happy for an unequivocally adult BL, as Japan does so well.

I thought it would be the entire book, but it wasn't that way, in the book you see the work ambiance a lot more, and it's not only focused on the romance. I love the second part of the book and I hoped to see it in the film. For that I just think it's a good adaptation. Maybe I am too critical, but I can't change that.
