I am a mess rn... seriously the way love is portrayed in such a nuanced way with genuine character growth is so special to see. They did a great job on this.

I can’t stop crying

I loved that the love story matched the couple in this movie. While their counterparts are still exploring what love means and have a slightly more innocent outlook, Akihiko and Haruki here are in a different stage of life. Their story is a little messier and weighed down by their previously experiences. I like that mistakes were made, but they worked through it. Personally, I found the song this time round was a bit underwhelming, but I believe that the plot made up for it.
