For fans of Tarantino this documentary offers nothing new. If you don't know every movie he has made this might interest you. If you come here to learn about he sees movies and how exactly approaches film-making you are going to be disappointed because Tarantino is not interviewed for this, only actors and producers he worked with along the way. If you expect this to explore Tarantino as a person and a somewhat controversial figure in history and are especially interested in his controversies and what might be behind him (e.g. his relationship with Harvey Weinstein): They touch on it briefly but this documentary is not really interested in this, it seems to be only included because they had to.
Huge fans of Tarantino, like myself admire with great respect for this one of a kind film maker. Do yourself a favor and watch this film!
This was really good. I mean i love Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs and always felt True Romance was the best of the first three ,which is hard to believe as I loved Pulp Fiction so much. Then for some reason after loving those three I didn't see another one until I saw Hateful 8 then watched Django Unchained. Some like Django push you to the limits of what you can see then he creates a magical ending. Pulp Fiction was one of the first time I watched a movie and immediately wanted to watch it again. And cos it was so great I couldnt leave it second time cos the next scene was so amazing. This documentary reminds me how great they are and its great hearing the actors be so genuinely enthusiastic about them. The tales from the film making and the way he creates comradery among the actors and crew must make his films some of the favourites for ppl to work on and act in. Which Tim Roth then says near the end. Greatness!
An insightful doc on Tarantino, with lots of good interviews and behind the scenes footage. It has inspired me to try some of his films again, tho not Death Proof, because that was a bit of a self-indulgent letdown.
Tarantino.... what else needs to be said?
