Decent movie! Nothing extraordinary compared to the anime series. **PS:** First 30 minutes is just a recap of the anime series.

Revisiting this work, it's fantastic how it managed to be appealing to new fans without being boring like the Demon Slayer movies.

30 minute detailed anime recap (found episode 12.5!), then 1 hour of actual new content. Felt overall had a few good moments and I get what they were trying to convey but mostly it fell flat compared to the show. This would have been better as an ark in the show I think and tightened up some, feels pushed to be a movie and fluffed up. It was very jarring to watch the English dub version also as certain voices were not consistent with the show **cough**[spoiler]high elf archer[/spoiler]**cough** and it's very jarring to watch. Not sure if this was a directing or audio mixing issue (think it was a bit of both), but credits claim the were not recast. I rewatched the show right before watching this in preparation and and it was very discernable. Lessened the punch of the rest of the fairly mediocre story for me as well. ==It was okay, probably won't watch the movie again. I will rewatch the ish out of the show.==

1/3 of the film is a summary of the anime, the rest is a flat plot, where no arc presented causes a great impact on the protagonists. The anime episodes [spoiler]where they confronted the champion globin, where the priestess urinated[/spoiler], were more interesting than the movie.
