**An unfortunate bore, especially considered the talent involved.** I was unaware that this film was a remake, which I haven’t seen yet. I’m presuming that the storyline here will work better when set in the 1930s of the original. I did really like this one line though by Phil Corkery, played by John Hurt. >_Phil: “I think it’s a bleeding miracle that nature should have planted love in every man jack of us, Ida.
