If I could give it a 12/10 I would. Some of these comments seem to be from people who expect way too much from the franchise and this type of movie. For what it is, it was amazing. Tense, the best stunts in the history of the movies, good stuff, sad stuff, crazy stuff...it's all there.

The date that President Sloane sends to Admiral Neely, implying vast importance in the characters' lives, is May 22, 1996. This is also the release date of the first Mission: Impossible film.

Stupid script doesn't begin to describe it. The flipping around non -stop from place to place in it was super distracting and hard to follow. The jump into the artic without a mask, scuba gear protecting his head because we have to see his face for the close up, stupid. The ready room with more than 3-4 dozen tracking tables, not realistic and didn't make for anything special addition to the scenes. Just more fodder. But the worst, was the attempt to tie the whole series together. It was unnecessary and added excessively to the distraction. Whoever made that decision should've never had any input at all. Other ridiculous points: Russians would be too stupid to know the opposite coordinate thing when they knew roughly where it supposedly went down. An Innuit woman married for more than 30 years to a white guy who can't speak a lick of English. Getting off at the turn and he catches the Russian sub? lmao. Being dragged that far could have him hundreds of feet off location, if not more. And the spinning of the sub, because the film wasn't ridiculous enough already. There's not a massive abyss everywhere on the ocean floor. NVM the whole electricity still works... inside the decompression chamber when she's not pressurized? hahaha hours, not days in the decompression chamber and not rushing to finish the entity. oh yeah and the bimbo telling him he should have the power and him being the only one who should have the power.... and at the very end of this entire mess and constantly talking about destroying the entity? don't. *WORST SCRIPT EVER*. At about the 1/3 point was ready to turn it off, but decided to keep on only to say I watched the last one, but it was a absurd 3 hours. 1/10. The only reason to waste your time is to say you watched the entire series.

I saw The Final Reckoning twice....the second time under a sky full of stars in Athens. Tom Cruise has carried this franchise for 30 years.Of course the ending would be emotional and it would take time. Time to tie up and conclude 30 years of missions remind the fans of the series some moments and all that together with the most impossible incredible unbelievable action packed scenes. The first time I was not so happy. I expected...I don't know something like what I fmhad seen and loved from the other missions. The fun...the laughter....but this...this is the Final Reckoning. There has to be loss. There has to be sacrifice. And there has to be spectacular. Tom Cruise...take a bow.

Holy this one dragged on forever, didn’t like it one bit, even the action scenes, though realistic looking, were boring as all hell.
