If _The Immoral Mr. Teas_ shone despite its low budget and the simplicity of its content, _Eve and the Handyman_ is definitely an inferior impacting film compared to its predecessor. Not that there is no lack of funny gags to entertain. But the format and the choice of a single actress (Eve Meyer, Russ's second wife and important producer) to play the different ‘bombers’ leaves something to be desired. The film also suffers from a lack of inventiveness and attention to detail. But all in all, it proves to be an enjoyable product to watch without great pretension in order to better understand the director's journey.
