The Main Event was predictable (as 99.9% of Hulk Hogan matches are.) Some of the characters on this particular Wrestlemania need to be buried and forgotten (i.e. Terry Taylor as "The Red Rooster") and most of the matches here were less than stellar or even exciting. Of course, I watched this when it aired live so the results weren't a surprise to me but still, I was enjoying the match between "The Ultimate Warrior" and "Ravishing Rick Rude" until Bobby Heenan blatantly interfered and cost Warrior the IC championship belt. Of course, it's all scripted and Warrior would go on to greater things but that was probably the single match on the entire card that was worth watching, and to have it end on such a sour note just seemed to kill this whole card - again - for me. I was a fan of both Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage at the time this Wrestlemania aired so it was an exciting match but now - years after the fact - watching Hogan once again write his own way into the championship, it's just kind of revolting. What an ego; it's no wonder other wrestlers hold him in such contempt. He may have ushered professional wrestling into it modern spotlight, but the dude had an ego that destroyed everything and everyone around him.
