Sanju isn't an objective story but just another biopic. Rajukumar Hirani, being the phenomenal raconteur he is, has done a great job in storytelling but there isn't anything remarkable in the movie which is expected from him. Ranbir and the prosthetic department were awesome.
Ranbir didn't just play Sanjay Dutt - he disappeared into him. Different eras, different physicality, different energy - and he nails every single one. Easily one of the finest performances Bollywood history. Vicky Kaushal as Kamli quietly steals every scene he's in. The Sanju-Kamli dynamic is genuinely one of the warmest male friendships put on screen in a long time. The film is entertaining throughout. But it does gloss over the darker edges a little too conveniently - it's a celebration more than an examination. The second half loses some steam too. Still - for those two performances alone, absolutely worth it.
This movie is a funny and emotional ride into Sanjay Dutt's life. From the start people can see Ranbir Kapoor's dedication and Sanjay Dutt's struggle. Just like the other Rajkumar Hirani films this movie is amazing but still there are a lot of elements missing in this movie ,which make it incomplete. It is mainly focus on Sanjay Dutt and his father and their fight against the media.
