Work less, love more—with this premise, My Last Love delivers a story meticulously written as a life lesson to be carried with you. It is typical, cliché, and melodramatic, yet completely captivating. My Last Love is a solid film. After receiving a terminal diagnosis, a father who had been unable to properly care for his family until then displays, through beautiful cinematic tones, a journey of reconciliation and regret with family members who had been estranged. CBS produced a film that reveals rare religious undertones, but they are not overly preachy and do not create a sense of reluctance or pushback. If there is a flaw, it is that the characters, narrative, and theme rush directly into dramatic division. It is at this point that the tears, which are practically guaranteed by the typical farewell drama, get somewhat diluted. An excellent feature film!
