Pretty good move about the REAL story behind U.S. government "connecting" 9-11 and Sadam Husein WMD B.S.

This was a great watch. I remember the debate and pushback from the world to stop America from starting this idiotic war. Unfortunately, it was a combination of Zionist backed military industrial complex fabricated narratives and George W. Bush's dumb personal pursuit to 1-up his father that ended up winning the day. He also had Tony Blair, the muppet from the the UK backing him up. That was unfortunate.

In term of the film's polemic, I am in total agreement. The Bush Administration was not to be trusted after the events of 9/11. However, as a film, this is more political tract than a piece of cinema. The script is heavy-handed in getting its point over, and the dialogue, for the most part, seems forced. I am thankful to Reiner for wanting to bring our attention back to the lies the government span, but I wish he had made a better film to back up his political statements.

I admit that it's difficult for me to be completely objective about this film; I served in the military (US Army) during the "Shock and Awe" campaign and in the months following, in "Operation Desert Shield/Operation Desert Storm". As a soldier, I swore to defend the Constitution of the United States of America against "terrorists, both foreign and domestic" and seeing then-President George W. Bush as my President and Commander-in-Chief, I confess to blindly following my leadership into a war. It's difficult for me to watch this Hollywood portrayal of the Bush administration - who were my leadership at the time - as a bunch of hypocritical liars hell-bent on revenge, especially when we know what Hussein - and Bin Laden - were capable of. Whether there were ever weapons of mass destruction doesn't matter to me: these sadistic, power-hungry murderers needed to be brought to justice, and I'm glad they were eventually. As a movie, however, whether I agree with the politics behind this or not (and I don't) this was excellent work, and worthy of every second of my attention. The acting was impeccable, the storyline - although it got a tiny bit muddled a couple times - was easy to follow (whether you agree with it or not), and the cast was superb. You may or may not agree with the politics behind this film but if you can watch it as a political movie based on reality (I didn't say _"based on facts"_ ) then it stands alone as a brilliantly-executed film. No, I don't agree with the Hollywood liberal attempts to smear George W. Bush and his administration or leadership, but I still enjoyed this as a movie and have no regrets about spending the time to watch it.

This is the left wing equivalent of a Daily Wire produced film. I don’t disagree with its interpretation of historical events, but there are much more subtle and much less preachy ways of portraying them.
