A movie that ultimately doesn't go where it should have gone... mainly cause other movies have done it before. Movies like this, despite all their deep notions on life and death and living, usually fail for me cause the protagonist is always someone who has money. It is easy to say "live your life as you want" if you have the means to do so and do not have a worry in the world besides your impending doom. All in all it's a fun movie that allows you to shed some tears with an always charismatic and mumbling Depp giving his almost-best. The ending fails for me but that's not a big deal after all cause like death the ending is merely a stop to the road travelled.

This is a heartbreaking movie laced with humour. Great part for Johnny Depp. Sad circumstances played by a master without it being in your face. Recommended.

great movie. bursted into tears two tomes during the film, and realised that whatever happens to you in life, just smile and try to make the best of it. to be honest sometimes im terrified of life and cry a Lotus. i dunno usually i write funny comments but this is serious. thanks to the crew director, producers, the cast and the whole team who worked on this movie. it was funny beautiful and sad at the same time.

Depp and Huston play their parts wonderfully, but as the script is a little weak, this doesn't pass the grade. B- then.
