We are being watched. The most Lynchian Wenders.
A casually enjoyable "low-key thriller" with a great cast. That's kind of a contradiction of terms, but it's a smooth watch, and is captivating without being demanding or trying to hype itself—it's just a good movie that wants to be a good movie, like so many others of the decade. Udo Kier gets a really funny cameo as an exasperated European director, and Mili Avital has a blink-and-you'll-miss-her cameo, essentially as a glorified extra at the end of the film. I quite liked Gabriel Byrne's character and arc in this one.
