>"Say hey, why don't you try, once a week, just chill it with the meat." Is it really vegan propaganda if they are just presenting some nutritional data and showing us how it can help? Even if you want to still eat meat but not eat it all the time, it helps (but to each their own, of course). This had a better focus and narration than What The Health. Also the McGregor moment was hilarious.
Really interesting information provided although scientific fact would have been great for meat eaters.
This move is nothing more than vegan propaganda that has an agenda. When I first watched it it appeared to make sense...until this video came out - Beyond Impossible (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UZ9wYNrSXM) and destroyed almost everything this movie is truing to accomplish. They even tear holes in The Game Changers movie at this point in the film - https://youtu.be/-UZ9wYNrSXM?t=3142 This is why YOU have to research everything and don't take anything at face value.
It was interesting however I felt like it could've talked about if veganism is also a good diet for women. Women also do sports and lift weights.
This is much the same content as featured in Forks Over Knives, Vegucated, and the plethora of similar 'vegan' documentaries that talk of a 'plant-based' diet. It wasn't as potent as the aforementioned documentaries. There was no real science offered to show whether the athletes were better. They just said they felt better. I totally agree as I feel better since going plant-based. But I also don't have access to the same level of stamina when working hard for long periods... This could be related to the difficulty in accumulating the same amount of calories. So what does a vegan powerlifter do? He eats mountains of fake meat. Hardly whole food plant based when it's highly processed fake meat products. I also felt a little shortchanged that the superstar names used to produce the movie - Lewis Hamilton, Jackie Chan, et al - did not feature in the documentary either at all or for more than a passing moment. There's a massive list of interviewees who weren't used in the credits. They really had nothing more interesting than the ones who were interviewed? Firefighters reducing cholesterol isn't what a docu about 'athletes who go vegan' should be focusing on. There are other (better) docus on that. 6/10
