The ambition was real. The execution was not. Anubhav Sinha wanted to make India's first proper superhero film and you can feel that intention throughout. The action sequences have scale. The VFX for 2011 is genuinely impressive. But the script keeps tripping over itself trying to be funny, emotional and spectacular all at once. G.One is a genuinely interesting character trapped in a film that doesn't know what to do with him. But fully appreciate everyone involved for trying something like this.
