This is a brutal look at the novitiate in a conservative abbey in the 60s before the sweeping reforms of Vatican II. It was very difficult to watch the struggle of the community to pursue the love of God while being robbed of the love of loving and being loved. There were a many things to think about. I give this film a 7 (good) out of 10. [Drama]
