Yet another enjoyable film by Ken Loach with a markedly committed political trait. _Bread and Roses_ is his first work to be contextualised in the United States. The recurring themes of precariousness, illegal immigration and more general human misfortunes are the thread running through the story told. _Bread and Roses_’ tells of frustration, dedication, cooperation and injustice, tending, in partial countertendency to the more 'classic' Loach, to give a breath of energetic hope to its audience.
