If you liked Inception, you would like Dilwale too 😆 SRK and Kajol chemistry still has something. The film around it absolutely does not. Varun and Kriti are charming in their lighter tracks and those portions are the most watchable parts. But the film is a mess of tones that never finds its identity. Dilwale should've been either a proper SRK-Kajol reunion or a full Varun-Kriti film. Trying to be both killed it.

Halfway through the movie I was wondering if this was supposed to be a parody of Bollywood movies. The over the top, quickly cut action scenes with punching sounds from the 80's, every actor trying to do their absolute worst (Varun and his gf were acting normally lol), overused background music, the horribly saturated visuals, After watching the whole movie, I don't think it was a parody, they were actually serious making this movie. Which makes it even more hilarious imo, movies that are sooo bad that they become good are the best. Had fun watching. Truly an Inception level movie (Varun Dhawan compared it to Inception.) Bravo Rohit Shetty.

Finally. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in another great film together. Kajol's role is my favorite, love to see a different side of her. A must watch for fans and those who start watching Indian films. :)
