I assumed that - based on the trailer, movie poster, etc - that this was going to be another throw-away comedy about a mother-daughter relationship. Wow, was I wrong. While the movie may have started out on a path that we've seen dozens of times, it slowly starts to evolve into a unique story. Sarandon's character evolves from a pathetic figure into someone that is really interesting and vibrant. And as that happens, the other characters around her act differently towards here. The comedy in the film sometimes falls flat, but at other times it sparkles. For the most part enjoyable and quite moving.

Really liked this one, quirky film but great performance from Susan Sarandon

I didn't expect much, but the story is actually good and Susan's performance is outstanding to say the least.
