Crassly exploitative, reveling in all the clips and books and porn that profited off this man, showing them, and then pretending it’s different because of its veneer as ‘news’. Totally uncaring to Renee, putting her body on display and saying next to nothing about her life. Whatever value you think could come from learning about this man is spoiled as the film makes clear his notoriety is the only thing that kept him alive. And so how much of his supposed unfiltered thoughts and story are real, and how much is a performance he is putting on for food and rent? It is a hell of his own making, but that doesn’t make this any less hellish of an experience.
