Incredible movie. So many things it teaches. Unlike modern movies which are mostly nihilistic, this one belongs to another era. The story very well crafted, and the sacrifice a lot of men had to endure so the West (the Far West) could be won. The movie also shows the amount of sweat and blood that was needed so the vast lands west of the Mississippi could be home of the millions of pioneers who settled those virgin golden lands. It’s a very patriotic movie that any good American should watch in school. Bravery, sacrifice, revenge, and the dosis of values and Christian morality that was useful during those hard times. And the natural beauty of Olive Borden is also worth be mentioned. Too bad she passed away too young of pneumonia, reminding us the fragility of life.
