One of the scariest movies I know. As scary as "Ringu" or "Evil Dead"!

Didn't live up to its reputation for me. But there are some really memorable images.

The true essence of this film lies in the eerie vibe created by its cinematography and atmosphere, as well as how various interconnected short stories piece together the origin of the curse. By today's standards, the visual impact of its special effects and makeup feels dated. However, the uncanny dread brought on by the camerawork and set design steadily chips away at your nerves. While the movie does utilize jump scares, they are never cheap or unprompted; instead, they are executed with proper narrative build-up and a slow-burn progression.
