Lee Van Cleef is the Barquero, which translates as the Boatman. He hates people, loves women, and really loves his ferry boat. Following a brutal bank robbery and massacre by a huge gang of bandits, the rest of the movie is the stand-off between the Baqruero and the gang leader played creepily by Warren Oates. The movie is technically an Italian Western, it was actually made in Hollywood and filmed in Colorado. So it does not make it onto some Spaghetti Western lists.
