One of the strangest movies I have seen in a while. It does begin to make sense towards the end so worth sticking with.

The ending chokes, but if you appreciate bone dry black humor, it's consistently hilarious after the introduction. Henry Rollins' Jack's deadpan, Autistically matter-of-fact lines and delivery combine with the fantastic subject matter and subdued style to make for a unique indie thriller. Since genre-tag-based recommendation algorithms are all but useless, especially for niche indie films like this, I'd also suggest _The Art of Self Defense_. It's not fantastical in nature, but it's very drab and understated, while also being full of dark humor. That has an extremely gratifying ending, though, and features two very talented young leads.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie up until the end, which I thought was terrible. This movie deserved a "fuck you" ending. Instead, right at the very end, it kind of stumbles and falls flat on it's face before it crosses the line.

This movie and it’s sequel are very original and hint at a larger story to be told. A little action,some very dark humour with an interesting take on what immortality would really mean. I’ve watched it a few times and it always entertains
