Catching up before it's leaving Shudder. Cute low-budget supernatural mystery comedy. Is it good? I don't think so. Is it entertaining? Yes! I had fun. It's one of those films that's not meant to be taken seriously. I really dig the campy effects, spooky score, and the oversaturated color here and there. The comedy doesn't always work but it got this unique charm and I just couldn't look away. The acting is fairly decent. Matthew Gray Gubler and Kat Dennings are both very attractive and I really like their delivery. It would have been so much worse without them. One thing that doesn't sit well with me is the frequent use of the f slur.

Don't fall for the movie poster.

Look I love Matthew as much as the next person, I didn't even mind that they up played his awkwardness to the point of insanity. Just this movie could have been so much better. You watched it for him and the horror esqu plot but ultimately a let down.

Too childish or be funny. Not memorable.
