A very strange film. The romance, the "car romance", the road trip, the chase, and especially the redemption – none of the parts really worked, everything was missing something. Always coming so close to being fun, but then coming just a bit short. I had watched Twins with Arnold Schwarzenegger just the day before, and coincidentally, these two movies must have some of the best [spoiler]"after first sex" scenes ever (Arnie's face! Hamill's song!)[/spoiler], I'll give it that.

lovely movie about a boy and his car in this cruel unfair world. really great story. i enjoyed it. it was good to see mark hamill in other character than luke skywalker.
